Ann Weisgarber, who lives in Texas, is the author of The Promise and The Personal History of Rachel DuPree. The Promise was shortlisted for the 2014 Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. In the U. S., it is a Western Writers of America Spur Award finalist and is shortlisted for the Ohioana Book Award.
The Personal History of Rachel DuPree was nominated for 2009 Orange Prize and the Orange Award for New Writers. In the U. S., it won the Stephen Turner Award for New Fiction and the Langum Prize for American Historical Fiction.
Ann is working on her next novel that takes place in Utah during 1888.
